Finnish melodic metallers Dark The Suns drop first single from their upcoming fifth studio album31/3/2022 Finnish melodic metal band Dark The Suns is set to release their yet unnamed fifth studio album later in 2022 via Inverse Records. The first single 'Kun Aallot Kallioihin Murtuu' is released today. Mikko Ojala commets: "Kun Aallot Kallioihin Murtuu is the first single from our 5th album. The song speaks about sorrow and grief and how some day you will have to forget and move on with your life." Listen to Kun Aallot Kallioihin Murtuu single on:
In 2005 Dark the Suns was founded by Mikko Ojala. In 2006 the band grew when three new members (bass player Inka, Juha on the keyboards and drummer Markus) joined the band, which signed with Firebox Records that same year. During 2007-2010 Firebox Records released the band’s three full-length albums (In Darkness Comes Beauty, All Ends in Silence and Sleepwalking in a Nightmare). The band performed many live shows during these years. There have been some changes in the line-up over the years, but Mikko and Inka have been continuously together, making music. The band was inactive for 2013-2020 but in 2020 Mikko and Inka decided to resume making music together. It was a really natural way to continue the band as a duo, because they have written almost all the band’s music and lyrics during all these years. In 2020 and 2021 Inverse Records released four singles from the band’s 4th album Suru Raivosi Sydämeni Pimeydessä. The album includes ten songs of melancholic and melodic Finnish metal music. The band has always described their music as ”Beautiful piano melodies and dark vocals”. Fifth studio album is set to be released later in 2022 via Inverse Records. Japanese symphonic metal wizards Heterogeneous Andead drop new lyric video "Fragments Of Memories"24/3/2022 "Fragments Of Memories" is a track taken from Heterogeneous Andead's upcoming album "Chaotic Fragments", which is due for release April 8th via Wormholedeath worldwide. Heterogeneous Andead is a melodic & symphonic electro death / thrash metal band from Tokyo, Japan. The sound is based on thrash metal with progressive metal, added electronic & symphonic sounds, and all of them is sung by a mezzo-soprano & who also uses growling vocals. "We've released one EP & album so far, so this album will be our third release. We don't change the concept and aimed to further improve the level while making it understandable as Heterogeneous Andead music immediately after listening. There are songs with more progressive elements in this album, and we also take on new challenges such as triple time. It also features more guitar harmonies and the synthesizer's sound is more emphasized than before. The performance of each part is also more energetic. This album has only 8 songs, but I think that all the songs are good quality to be the lead track of the album. In this album Yusuke Kiyama worked on mixing / mastering, so all the sounds are our ideals." Heterogeneous Andead are:-
heterogeneousandead.com Finnish melodic metal crew Numento unveil new single 'Hadal Ground'; new album drops later this year3/3/2022 Helsinki based progressive melodic metal band with extreme metal Influences Numento is releasing their second album later this year. The first single from the upcoming album is now released! "Hadal Ground" is inspired by the Greek god of the underworld. The song is about a dark parallel reality, a crooked version of our world, that is ruled by the empress of the dead accompanied by nightmarish creatures that prey on human minds. The origin of Numento dates back to 2004. That year a few schoolmates from eastern Helsinki decided to start playing instruments. And of course before anyone had learned a single chord it felt mandatory to also form a band. A metal band. During the following years the band changed its name a couple times. It wasn’t until late 2010 when the band decided to change its name for the last time. The name Numento was chosen after a long night. The line-up has had few changes after that, but it was that time that the band started to find it's own sound that you can still recognize in their music. Listen to "Hadal Ground":

So when the corona storm was raging, we decided to throw ourselves into the wind and draw strength from it. During the darkening evenings of autumn, we wrote more material and soon we were in a situation where making a full length album was a better option than the originally planned EP. "Northern Winds" is the opening track of the upcoming album and it tells the story of a situation where an individual has to face an impending threat and follow his instincts in order to survive." So is the essence of existence. Let's see where the scales will go. The "bricks" we're given could be used to build the Paradise, But, well, we still ignite the fuse and pay the overprice." Hok-key was created on the 7th November 1994, as a comedy metal band. From 1994 - 1997 the band played a series of concerts in Minsk and other cities across Belarus. In 1998 the band took a hiatus. A year later Hok-key started to work on new material. Over the 2000 - 2002 period, Hok-key played about twenty concerts in Belarus and abroad, and took part in numerous festivals, radio and TV talk shows. Armed with soaring vocals, groovy riffs and catchy melodies, the melodic metal quintet Beneath The Silence is gearing up for the release of their debut full-length album ‘Black Lights'. Today they present the catchy second single 'Fear' - check out the music video above. Vocalist Mette Hessellund states that:- "‘Fear’ is a natural extension of the sound our EP 'Phoenix' was composed of. A new release is often the marker of a new evolution or direction, but we still felt it was important to hold on to the core of what we have already done. Heavy riffs, catchy choruses and a consistent groove”. Since the band was formed in 2013, they have released two EP’s - ‘Meant for the Clouds’ (2016) and ‘Phoenix’ (2018). The latter, which was very well received, has amassed over 2,5 million streams across streaming platforms with placements on Spotify official playlists such as New Metal Tracks, New Blood, Kickass Metal and more. Beneath The Silence are now getting ready to release their debut album ‘Black Lights’, which has been produced by Nicklas Sonne (Defecto, Between Oceans, Malrun). ‘Black Lights’ is set to be released through Prime Collective February 11th. 'Fear' is already available on all streaming services. Saudi Arabia's Aana.n7n is a melodic progressive metal quintet that is passionate about three things: writing stories, making music, and creating visual art. They are only one of a few bands from their country doing heavy music in Arabic vocals. The band says that:- "There isn’t a lot of music in our genre that converses with the listener using vernacular language and we truly wanted to showcase this in our stories, music, and visuals. We genuinely think it’ll be received positively by most local listeners and worldwide, be it they’re into the type of music we make or not. This album is unique in the way it is presented and we feel like it could set a standard for other acts to follow." Today, the band presents their fourth single "Sonnaa Al Dayaa" (translated to English 'Those Who Corrupt'), to follow their three previously released tracks "Youm Bedon Shams", "Al-Awwal" and "Esh Sawet". All will be featured on the band's yet to be titled debut album to be released later this year from Saudi Arabian based label Wall of Sound Records. Listen to "Sonnaa Al Dayaa" at the following links:
The planned debut full length will be a concept record that will tell one story about how social media affect us along with the people around us. Each track will be a chapter / themes covering topics such as the double life of a social media influencer, the effects of social media on self-esteem, cyber-bullying, etc. The band is aiming to take the listener through an engaging journey of ups and downs. They want people to be keener to the experience of listening to one coherent narrative of music, and they hope they manage to achieve that with this album. "The themes of the songs affect the sound textures we choose, this is best exemplified in songs like Youm Bedon Shams (Galactic and dark), Al Awwal (anxious and competitive), and the yet-to-be-released Al Rakhees (dirty and deceiving)." All the songs on the full length are meant to be viewed with accompanying artwork on Instagram and YouTube for the full audio and visual experience. It will also be sung entirely in Arabic and be an album that is percussive, heavy on the bass, with synth providing a melodic and dark background to it, along with Middle Eastern melodies. Post-Covid, Aana.n7n is very much looking forward to hitting the stage and incorporating their visual art with their live performances. Previous singles - Music Videos:
